# Repository Guidelines

## Project Structure & Module Organization

Oxidex is currently a Rust 2024 Cargo workspace for a Linux desktop filename search tool. The workspace contains these active crates:

- `crates/oxidex`: the unprivileged `eframe`/`egui` GUI. Default launch connects to `oxidexd`; `--standalone` keeps the in-process fallback.
- `crates/oxidex-client`: shared Unix-socket client library for GUI and CLI frontends.
- `crates/oxidex-core`: shared device discovery, scan streams, snapshots, indexi
